If you’re a police officer, you know the score. There are dangerous people out there. People who have guns and knives and any matter of weapons. There is a need for protection. A protection comes more than just wearing the blue and carrying a gun. There is a need for body protection. There is a need for body armor clothing.

People are targeting the police today. People are targeting them because the police have been made a target due to news reports about a few wayward policemen. There have been killings, sure, maybe even unnecessary killings. But today police are more targeted than ever. This has happened over time but especially now.

• FBI data shows that 66 law enforcement officers were criminally killed in the line of duty in 2016.
• Of the 66 law enforcement officers killed in the line of duty in 2016, 62 were assaulted with firearms.
• According to the FBI, 33 law enforcement officers were feloniously killed with their own weapon in the 10 years.

These statistics show just how dangerous life is for a police officer who is on active duty. There are people with guns who kill officers. There are people with knives who kill police officers. There are people who kill police officers with their own guns. It is dangerous, and a dangerous issue in society today.

Recently there have attacks on police officers. There was one in New Orleans, where police officers were shot and killed by a man who was walking along the highway. There was a major attack in Houston, where numerous police officers were killed during a celebration. There have been others as well.

These attacks on police officers go to show that a policeman needs a higher level of protection when it comes to patrolling the streets or doing any kind of duty that puts them out in the open. A police officer might want to use additional protection. For many, this means body armor clothing.

Body armor clothing is a type of protection that protects the body from injury. This can mean a knife would or a bullet. Body armor clothing is there to keep policemen from losing their lives in the line of duty. Body armor clothing saves lives; these statistics prove it.

Body armor clothing is required by many local police departments. Body armor clothing is a standard thing most likely for many. It helps protect the officers, even the ones who are out in the open and subject to possible harm. There are many reasons why police officers should wear body armor clothing.

There are many situations in which policemen will find themselves in during the course of the day. There are stabbings, domestic violence issues, robberies, high speed car chases, and more. These situations require protection as an officer will likely be entering into a combustible situation.

There are many different kinds of armor and different ways to sharpen shooting skills for disturbing situations. They are tactical gear, tactical body armor, tactical plate carrier, target practice, using reactive targets, steel targets, shooting targets, reactive targets, police tactical gear, and more.

Body armor is important. It protects police officers from a possible killing or harm. It protects the individuals who are protecting our streets and patrolling and risking their lives every day to protect people. It even protects those who do not have good intentions. There are some sure. But it helps.
